| Reliable bowling attack: Sunrisers Hyderabad bowling attack won them many games either by defending low total or dismissing the opponents cheaply. They have retained their core bowlers likes, Bhuvi, Rashid, Sid Kaul, Stanlake, Shakib and Khaleel.
Foreign contingent: Proven overseas match winners, Warner and Williamson will be shoo-ins. Additionally, they have the #1 T20I bowler in the world (Rashid Khan), his compatriot Mohammad Nabi, alongside Martin Guptill, Jonny Bairstow & Shakib.

Contribution from IND players: Majority of SRH success in IPL heavily relies on Overseas player Warner and Williamson with bat and Rashid with the ball, there have been very few contributions.
Middle–order worries: 2600 runs were scored by SRH batsmen in 2018 out of which 47.32 % were scored by Williamson (735) and Dhawan (497). The difference between the third highest scorer and Dhawan was 213 runs.

Pandey to prove his consistency: M Pandey had an on-and-off IPL season 2018 where he scored three fifties and a duck, he has chance to prove his worth. Warner’s return: D Warner will be playing after a ban last season and with Dhawan’s absence, he will be key batsman in the lineup. |
SRH gloveman’s batting contribution: Bairstow might not feature throughout the season.
Additionally, the other two keepers Saha and S Goswami haven’t been playing the shortest format of the game of late and both struggle to contribute consistently with the bat Warner: If Warner fails then SRH’s batting might struggle especially with Dhawan now gone.
