Strengths
Top Order:
Sunrisers Hyderabad possess a top 3 of Warner, Bairstow and Pandey. Warner and Bairstow in the last 2 IPL seasons have arguably been the best opening pair. Pandey though inconsistent if he gets going is a match winner on his day. SRH’ s destructive top order means they are once again big contenders to reach the play-offs.
Miserly Bowling
SRH have in their ranks one of the most consistent fast bowlers in Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, the highest wicket taker in Powerplay of IPL. Natarajan one of the best death bowlers in IPL 2020. Add to it the likes of Rashid Khan who is one of the best bowlers of the T20 format you have the makings of a very successful bowling unit. Their reserve bowlers Khalil, Nabi and Mujeeb might be starters in half of the IPL franchises highlighting their strong bowling depth.
Weakness
Middle Order
SRH’s middle order was one of the worst in IPL 2020. The middle order failings are consistent for the last 3 seasons. If SRH’s middle order struggles again then SRH might once have to leave it late and depend on others to make the play-offs.
Opportunities
Kedar Jadhav and Vijay Shankar
Kedar Jadhav and Vijay Shankar not long ago were part of India’s national team, both for a variety of reasons have struggled in the last 2 IPL seasons. IPL 2021 offers both of them a chance for redemption. A failed season for Jadhav might also be his last IPL.

Top 3 Do not Fire
SRH’s middle order does not inspire confidence, if Warner or Bairstow struggle then SRH’s batting will struggle to post anything over 150.
