Bengal’s strong raiding v/s Tamil’s experienced defence

The main talking point in the clash between Tamil Thalaivas and Bengal Warriors will be the contest between Bengal’s dangerous raiding v/s Tamil Thalaivas experienced defence. It is likely to be boosted by the return of the mighty Manjeet Chhillar. Bengal has the 2nd best raiding unit in Pro Kabaddi Season 7 behind Dabang Delhi with the likes of Maninder Singh, Prapanjan and Esmail Nabibaksh wreaking havoc. However, they will face a stiff challenge against Tamil Thalaivas who have Manjeet Chhillar, Ran Singh and Mohit Chhillar in their ranks. Thalaivas defence floundered at home, and the Chennai outfit failed to win a single match at home. The veterans will have to prove their worth if Tamil Thalaivas are to return to winning ways.

Can Rahul and co find form against a struggling Bengal defence?

Rahul Chaudhari has struggled to find form this season. He has managed just 62 raid points in the first ten matches; this is his lowest tally after ten games in any Pro Kabaddi Season. Ajay Thakur has also struggled to find form. With the Thalaivas star duo getting caught in Super-Tackle situations, it has been a significant factor in Thalaivas matches being a close affair this year. However, they next come up against a Bengal defence which has struggled for form corners. Rinku and Baldev have gifted points to the opposition with advance tackles, and only the experienced “Jeeva” holding the defence together.
