The incredible Messi Stats from Argentina’s Copa America Triumph

Lionel Messi won the golden boot, had the most assists also winning the player of the tournament for Copa America 2021 in an incredible campaign. We look at the stats which show how Messi dominated Copa America 2021 and helped Argentina end their 28-year-old trophy drought.

Most goals contributed: Lionel Messi contributed 9 out of the 12 goals that Argentina scored and was heavily involved in the other 3 goals, highlighting the impact the Barcelona star had on Argentina ending their 28-year-old trophy drought. The next best player had 5 goal contributions, further showing how Messi was head and shoulders ahead of the rest in South America’s premium Championship.
